This is a sealed subwoofer with a front firing 12-inch high excursion driver, A 300 watts RMs class D sledge amplifier and a frequency response of 24 to 260 hertz on the front. We have an on off led and around the back. We have volume phase and crossover dial controls an auto standby slash on flip switch, a 12-volt trigger and stereo RCa ins and outs along with high level speaker inputs.

The pegs are made out of hard plastic and sit in the cups pretty tightly and won’t be going anywhere once it’s on it is kind of a hassle getting the grille off because it sits so. tightly and snugly against the body which made me wish the grille was magnetic instead of using the standard pin cup system. Now the finish on the SB 1000 that was sent to me is premium black ash and this is great for me because it doesn’t really show fingerprints or dust and keeps my Ocd in check.

Though you’ll pay a hundred dollars more for those than the premium black ash version Setting this up and connecting it is as straightforward as every other subwoofer connect your sub cable to the LFe input and turn the low pass filter crossover dial to Lfe set your crossover in your receiver and adjust the volume knob on the sub and that’s pretty much it if you need to use the line-level outputs just know that they have. a fixed 80 Hertz high pass filter that can’t be changed. Initially I worried that the overall sound quality output and extension of the sealed sp-1000 wouldn’t be able to match my other subwoofer. A 12-year-old ported SvS PB10 isd.

This 13 By 13 Cube Was Putting Out

monstrous bass that was literally shaking my couch. It sounded tight and effortless with zero distortion and this was even after having to jack the volume up to 70 percent on the sub itself during calibration to get a proper level. Music sounded equally as good with bass that can literally punch you in the chest. When the kick drum comes in this was definitely the case when watching the Metallica live concert slash movie mashup through the never playing games. The Sp 1000 Hooked up was equally as impressive booting up death Stranding, which has a lot of bass heavy moments in cut scenes and when turning in orders and coming across BTs.

I Was Just Constantly Impressed And Constantly

smiling from how great the Sp-1000 sounded here tight impactful bass that honestly dug a lot deeper than I expected. Really bass. Heavy games like modern warfare. For example, have a tactile feel to them that I just didn’t think a sealed subwoofer could ever pull off let alone one of this size and in this price range. According to rew room eq wizard i’m getting decent output down to 20 Hertz in my room, which while not as low as the 17 Hertz.

I Get From My Pb10 Isd

is still amazing all things considered I’m truly and definitely impressed by the sound quality and performance of the sb1000. I recently made a video going over what I did to mix the sealed sp-1000 with my ported PB10 Isd if you’re interested. I’ll leave a link in the card above. If you want to check it out, so is the SB 1000 worth your money well honestly. It totally depends on your situation.

If You Have A Budget Of Around 500

and want a subwoofer with a small footprint that has tons of output and sounds way bigger than it actually is then in my opinion the SB 1000 is your best bang for buck subwoofer at 500. Because of the small footprint. You can literally place it anywhere in your listening area and it won’t stick out. However, If size and space aren’t a concern and you want more low-frequency extension and want to stay around that 500 mark, then I definitely recommend checking out the PB 1000, which is essentially a upgraded newer version of my PB10 isd both subwoofers will work great in a home theater. They sound excellent with music movies and video games and honestly.

Ive Been A Huge Svs Fan For

many many years and they still make quality subwoofers that outperform a lot of their competition in a given price range.
