In this video, we are going to be doing something a little bit different and it’s an unboxing review and a sound test of Mackey’s new hundred and ninety-nine dollar subwoofer for home stereo setup okay so let’s have a look oh there’s another box inside now that’s better so the first thing we have here is this white little box and this includes something that’s really cool, which is a volume monitor knob and you put this on your desk, which allows you to access everything that you need to access in terms of monitors not have to go and actually change volume on your monitors itself and the subwoofer and it’s got two different levels. You know if you guys can see that and. One changes the volume of your monitors and one changes the volume of your subwoofer, so you can switch between the two and change and further around with them so that is quite cool and something I haven’t seen before and for 200 dollars. This is a pretty cool, unique little accessory to have the next thing that we have is your usual paperwork when you buy products and it seems like you get Pro Tools first, which is an included software for people that are starting out and with a few plugins as well, which is quite nice and it’s just the standard quick starter guide of how to set up this but we’re going to do that anyway so don’t stress too much about that and then finally it is the subwoofer that I won’t be able to take out in this position so alright so before we.

Get To The Studio Subwoofer I Just Want

to mention some of the cables that are also included like your standard white and red connection cables and auxilary that also connects with a red and white and your standard power supply For any set of studio monitors that you do need and finally what we’ve all been waiting for the beautiful look of Mackey’s $200 subwoofer and it looks pretty good UK when I spend this monitor around in terms of its shape and size. You can pretty much tell that it’s not a square subwoofer like most other subwoofers out there, but instead it has a more narrow front face compared to the side, giving it more of a rectangular type feel and has this push to pay button that you click to connect to bluetooth, which is something totally new on subwoofers specifically and really need to studio. monitors in general because Mackie have released an entire range of these studio monitors right now that all connect via Bluetooth as well and I’m going to link some of the other unboxings that I’ve done of those studio monitors down below, but that is something really cool, something efficient and something nice when you just want to jump around and put your phone on Bluetooth and play a song or something and just have a listen. And I think that’s a really cool feature that other studio monitors also need to really get into especially subwoofers as well. We’re looking at the back.

We Have Everything We Need Our Inputs The

input connections that they gave us like the cables our input level, our sub-output level, our crossover 40 Hertz to a hundred and 80 Hertz hour polarity zero degrees 280 degrees as your UK connection, which is a little remote that you put on your desk to jump between monitors and the subwoofer and then finally we have our standard power supply input with our on and off switch. So a very simple design very easy to set up and speaking of setting this up let’s plug the C and have a look and see how easy it does setup and how good it really sounds ok. So now I have the subwoofer setup and in terms of setting it up. It It is really simple really easy. All you need is to balance UK inputs and you connect it straight from your audio interface and I’m using the focusrite scarlett solo so it’s also quite budget UK really easy you plug it in from there straight into the input section of the subwoofer and you plug in your studio monitors that you have above your desk into the output section of the subwoofer so very easy very simple to set up and let’s move on to the sound test of what this baby sounds like my whole disk is shaking so I have to say that for $199.

This Subwoofer Is Insane.

I mean other subwoofers out there from Yamaha Okay okay or 500 six seven eight hundred dollars two hundred dollars. All these features yes it’s not clear because it is a Sabu fan you’re supposed to listen to all. the low frequencies and identify those frequencies when you’re mixing mastering them making music in general, so it is doing its job very well and like I said for this price with a Bluetooth function that it comes with the knob that you can put on your desk to jump between studio monitors and the subwoofer. All these extra accessories are just really something out of the box that Mackie have done.

Theyve Dropped The Price.

They have done extra stuff to the product and it’s really standing out from the rest in my opinion and in terms of an overall rating. I’d give this product a 9 maybe even a 9. 5 just because of what you’re getting for the price.
