Djbooth.net and I’m here in the lab to give you guys a really quick review video of the new Adam audio T10s Subwoofer now. This is a powered subwoofer that is perfect for people who are in the studio trying to make new music or for Djs who are trying to get their practice on or even for home theater systems. This is an excellent subwoofer of choice. It’s perfectly paired with their atom audio T7vs and their T8vs.

Its Great For Those Guys When

they’re in the studio and they want that flat representation with using these and then they want to maybe up the base and hear a little bit more of that bass rumble and the feedback that they get when they add a nice 10-inch subwoofer such as the T10s so right off the bat we’re going to. talk about the build quality First, then we’re going to go over all of the features in the T10s and then we’re going to go over the sound quality and how it kind of compares to the other black elephant. In the room. The KrK 10 series subwoofer itself so right off the bat. The atom audio subwoofer is built very very well very well made.

It Has A Nice Heavy Footprint To

it. It’s very very heavy and built very very tough. It has the same kind of coating to it as the T7V and the T8V that’s out there from atom audio. They have a very similar design aesthetic. They have very similar shape to them too with all of the different curves and angles on the front and all the way on the front you see they have the atom audio logo there and right above that.

that way you can tell that this is on or off by looking at it from the front. You’ll notice it’s pretty closed all on the sides the top and the front. The only place that you’re getting openings or any difference of course is on the bottom where the 10-inch subwoofer resides and of course on the back. Where you have all of your different connections your controls and you also have your rear firing base port for your air. This is really cool to have the base port on the back because you get a nice super deep bass sound when you have that bass port on the back and it’s designed in a different style of way than usually we’re seeing on subwoofers.

It Has Like A Long Strip All The

way at the top and it’s really clean looking. And it definitely gives this base T10s a lot more bass, a lot more oomph and a lot more punch than normal. The T10s is unfortunately not made out of real solid wood, but it is very very sturdy, very heavy, very durable and i’m definitely sure this is going to last you a long time as long as you’re not gigging with it and taking it out there on the road with you and it just stays down in your studio or in your home theater as it’s supposed to be again really cool design. It looks really really nice and sharp and the aesthetic perfectly matches the T7vs and the T8vs from atom audio and the sound also matches as well so when we go to the features all the way on the back of the unit you guys will see of course the rear firing base port. at the top and then the first thing you see here is a crossover switch.

This Will Allow You To Cross Over The

different high frequencies that you want to eliminate from coming into the base that way you can just cut it down to. Whatever you want this to grab and you can eliminate all of the higher frequencies that you don’t want this to grab next up is your phase switch The phase switch is zero or 180 degrees that means it’s either a polar opposite sometimes when you’re in your room or you’re in your studio you’re hearing things and they sound not as nice and crisp as they should especially as it comes to the base. You might want to flip that switch and you’ll notice you’ll hear some type of a difference and depending on how your room is or how your setup is it’s. either going to be on 0 to 180 degrees next up is your volume control knob that’s here on the back as well again. Everything on the back of this speaker has a nice big metal plate there to kind of house all your controls and everything making sure that everything is going to stay right where it’s supposed to be for a long time to come after you have your volume control knob next up.

You Have Your Inputs And Output

section here you have your RCa ends right and left. They’re either in XLR or RCa and you also have your outputs left and right either in XLR or RCa. One of my minor issues with this unit is that they don’t have any trs inputs or quarter inch inputs or outputs. I had some trs cables laying around and I kind of wanted to use those for the review, but unfortunately, they only take RCa or XLR with the atom audio T10s next on the bottom. We have a remote switch subwoofer bypass now This is really cool for producers.

When You Guys Are In The Studio And

you want to completely bypass the sub you want to kind of turn it off so that way. You can have your T7Vs or any other monitors that you may have in your studio playing by themselves so that way you can cut out all that bass lower end that you might not need at that time. You can do that at the flick of a switch. If you have something plugged in to this subwoofer bypass switch area and then of course, you have your standard power cable so last but not. Least we’ll go over the sound quality The sound quality of the atom audio T10s is phenomenal.

The Bass Gets Really Really Low.

It gets really really boomy and it has a nice rumble to it not too much rumble or not too much vibration to make it overly colorful, but perfect for the source material that you guys are working on out there in the studios and definitely perfect for my home theater system. I actually had this in here side by side with the Krk. The rocket 10 inch subwoofer My brother brought his down and we actually did a side by side comparison, while the Krk subwoofer was a bit louder than this. This actually handled the higher volumes better.

It Actually Had A Nice Tighter Bass Response.

It actually sounded more controlled and it’s definitely the better subwoofer of the two if you guys have to. Make a choice even if you have KrK tops or KrK monitors already. Then this still is going to be a better pairing for you guys. Even if you have a KrK already or any other type of monitor.

This Is One Of The Best

subwoofers out there. It comes in at the same price point at 399 dollars, but for sure the autumn audio with sound quality department and the way that it kind of handles those higher volumes and the lower frequencies to me kind of gets the cake when it comes to the comparison with the KrK 10 inch subwoofer so again really great sound quality a lot of good cool features in here nice build quality. It also has your RCa and XLR inputs. It has all of your extra features such as the crossover. The phase.

It Also Has Your Foot Switch So That

way. You can turn the bass off at any time when you’re in your studio and you want to hear the difference back and forth between having the subwoofer here for some systems or not having subwoofer at all and getting your nice flat response for your production on the downside. There are no quarter inch or trs inputs or outputs and again that’s kind of the only gripe that I can find with it maybe the other minor minor gripe with it is that it doesn’t have a full solid wood enclosure. I believe this is the mDf the same stuff that they’re using for your T7vs, but it is a lot thicker than this the material used for here because of course when you’re dealing with base, you want that to be nice and solid and you don’t want anything rattling around and I feel like confident enough that. This is not gonna be the case in the long run with the T10s again, though no Trs or quarter-inch inputs or outputs, so you’re gonna have to put those cables away and get yourself some RCa or some XLRs in order to use the T10s so for more on the written review you guys can head on over to www.
