Hello And Welcome To The Avalon Video

guide to the Rel G1 subwoofer I’m going to talk through the features of this sub. The best way to set it up. The G1 is the first in Rel’s New Gibraltar series of subwoofers. It has a 300 millimeter front firing drive unit which is constructed from carbon fiber and is powered internally by a 600 watt amplifier. It utilizes a curved cabinet with very rigid hardwood layered internal bracing and these are units of actually daisy chainable in case you’re using an amplifier without multiple subwoofers, and you did want to include more than one G1 in your system.

Theres Actually An Optional Stacking Kit Available,

so you can stack these units on top of one another. Though this isn’t advisable because if you were going to be using more than one I’d suggest putting them in sort of opposite sides. of the room to give you a more much more even sound. It’s a very high gloss black cabinet, which is a very luxurious feel to it and really really beautifully built, but unfortunately, because it’s so high gloss. It can be quite susceptible to being marked.

It Weighs 49 Kilos And Is

660 millimeters deep. So it’s not an especially small unit and it is quite weighty um it’s got a low frequency lower frequency response of 15 hertz at minus 6 db moving into the rear panel. Here you can see the the large heatsink at the back for the amplification board and then the connections underneath it. You see it’s got RCa and XLR inputs and outputs as well and it has a dedicated LFe input for home cinema or then low or high level inputs if using it with a stereo pros. The build quality is.

Superb As I Say It Weighs 49 Kilos

and it’s got a really nice luxurious feel to it and the actual response from it is completely superb so it’s got this really speedy deep kind of base, which is good. It’s not too boomy, which is what a lot of subwoofers would do and flexibility the fact that it’s got you’ve got Rca and XLr inputs and you can use it with stereo easily or with home Cinema is is fantastic. The only real con I’d say for this is as I mentioned earlier. It has got a very high gloss cabinet which can be easily marked even when cleaning. It is the only real issue but I wouldn’t let that be a down point really against the superb base performance from this model okay thanks for watching hope you’ve enjoyed this video guide to the Royal G1 subwoofer if.
